Do NOT use your flag header as part of your halyard (rope) system!

Wrong way to clip your flag to your flagpole.
Do NOT use your flag header as part of your halyard (rope) system – clipping one end of your halyard to the top grommet of the flag and then clipping the other end of your halyard to the bottom grommet of the flag, using the header as part of your halyard system. This puts an enormous amount of stress on the header and grommets of your flag and causes premature and unnecessary wear and tear on your flag.

INTERNAL HALYARD FLAGPOLESThe halyard (rope) on your internal halyard flagpole system starts inside your flagpole towards the base of your flagpole. Your halyard is attached to an internal cam cleat or winch system and runs up the inside of your flagpole and out the top of the flagpole through your truck/pulley system. The rope then hangs outside of your flagpole where flag snaps/clips are attached to the halyard. Under your flag, your counterweight and retaining beads are attached to the end of your halyard. The rope from the base of your flagpole to the counterweight and retaining beads is one continuous halyard. Your flag snaps/clips are then attached to the halyard, which secures your flag to the halyard.
